About the Role
Marquise Energy Limited is a leading provider of end-to-end engineering and EPC services, dedicated to helping critical industries streamline operations and mitigate risks. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Slickline Operator to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will operate slickline units and run downhole tools with precision to ensure optimal well performance and project success, working alongside a group of seasoned industry professionals committed to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Operate single-drum, double-drum, and heavy-duty slickline units and power packs efficiently during well intervention operations.
- Execute complex downhole tasks including running drift and gauge cutters, wax cutting, SSD opening and closing, and plug and prong setting and retrieval.
- Perform gas lift valve, dummy and PBV change-outs, broaching, tubing punch, and tool conveyance.
- Make up tool strings, accurately read weight indicators and depth counters, and maintain detailed run logs.
- Rig up the lubricator, BOP, and pressure control equipment while conducting thorough pressure tests.
- Inspect and maintain wire, downhole tools, and surface equipment before and after each job assignment.
- Strictly adhere to permit-to-work, JSA, and stop-work procedures while providing guidance to junior assistants on location.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification; OND or HND in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on slickline operations experience, with prior offshore experience being a strong advantage.
- Valid IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control certification (Wireline Level 2 minimum) along with standard offshore safety certifications.
- Extensive knowledge of downhole tools such as Otis, Baker, and Camco types, including tool redressing, basic rigging, and slinging.
