About the Role
Oilserv Limited is a leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) services within the oil and gas sector. We are seeking a dynamic Shipping, Customs & Expediting Coordinator to oversee our logistics operations, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of critical materials across all Group entities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate Group shipping, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and post-order expediting activities.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian customs regulations, import-export requirements, and statutory obligations.
- Manage the performance of freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics service providers to minimize demurrage and detention costs.
- Provide functional leadership for post-order expediting, monitoring long-lead items and vendor commitments against project schedules.
- Maintain shipment visibility, tracking frameworks, and risk management registers to support operational continuity.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Projects, Finance, and Site Operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Shipping, Customs & Expediting team to drive high performance.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Transport and Maritime Logistics, Shipping Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Active membership in relevant professional bodies such as CIPS, CILT, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, customs clearance, or logistics coordination, preferably within the oil and gas EPCIC industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian customs procedures, port operations in Lagos, Onne, and Port Harcourt, and international Incoterms.
- Proficiency in supply chain software, including SAP, SAGE, and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
