About the Role
Workforce Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading lending company seeking an experienced Senior Treasury Operations professional to oversee daily treasury activities, liquidity management, loan disbursements, payment reconciliation, and funding obligations. This critical role ensures seamless financial operations and regulatory compliance within a fast-paced lending environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare daily cash positions and rolling short-term cash forecasts to maintain optimal liquidity.
- Manage funding and release of loan disbursements through NIP, RTGS, and bank or payment partner platforms.
- Reconcile loan repayments, direct debit collections through NIBSS e-Mandate, and payment gateway settlements.
- Monitor repayment inflows against schedules, investigate discrepancies, and resolve failed, delayed, or duplicate payments.
- Manage bank accounts, mandates, signatories, and relationships with commercial banks and payment providers.
- Monitor borrowings, repayment schedules, and financial covenant compliance.
- Enforce maker-checker controls and strict payment approval limits.
- Manage FX requirements for foreign-denominated funding and vendor payments.
- Collaborate with Technology teams to automate loan systems and streamline reconciliation processes.
- Support internal and external audits as well as comprehensive regulatory reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, ACTI, or CFA (or progress towards them) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant treasury experience within banking, microfinance, lending companies, or merchant banks.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian payments ecosystem, including NIBSS, NIP, RTGS, and e-Mandate.
- Proven expertise in cash forecasting, liquidity management, payment reconciliation, advanced Excel, and loan management systems.
