About the Role
Scruples Resources, a leading consultancy and human resource solutions provider in Nigeria, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Structural Designer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering world-class structural design solutions for the oil and gas, petrochemical, and industrial sectors, ensuring safety, quality, and strict adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed structural designs, framing plans, sections, elevations, and fabrication drawings for oil and gas and industrial facilities.
- Create and maintain accurate 2D and 3D structural models using advanced design software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and STAAD.Pro.
- Design structural steel and concrete structures, including pipe racks, equipment supports, platforms, and access structures.
- Coordinate seamlessly with piping, mechanical, civil, and electrical disciplines to resolve design clashes and ensure constructability.
- Review structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and vendor documentation while mentoring junior structural designers.
- HND or Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive professional experience in structural design within the oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated proficiency in structural steel and reinforced concrete design, detailing, and relevant industry software.
- Deep understanding of international structural codes, standards, and safety requirements applicable to engineering projects.
- Strong multidisciplinary coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to project deadlines.
