About the Role
Zoracom is a leading Nigerian tech company specializing in observability, cybersecurity, and enterprise infrastructure management. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Security Operations Centre (SOC) Analyst to spearhead our threat detection and incident response capabilities. In this pivotal role, you will safeguard critical systems, mentor junior staff, and elevate our overall security posture across diverse telecommunications and enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, triage, and investigate real-time security alerts, network traffic, and system logs for potential cyber threats.
- Lead comprehensive security incident analysis, rapid response, escalation protocols, and root-cause investigations.
- Leverage advanced SIEM, EDR, and XDR platforms to proactively detect, analyze, and neutralize sophisticated attacks.
- Execute proactive threat hunting initiatives and continuously refine detection rules and monitoring workflows.
- Develop detailed incident reports and provide actionable security recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with internal IT and engineering teams to reinforce security controls and mentor junior SOC analysts.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience within a dynamic Security Operations Centre environment.
- Proven expertise deploying and managing SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or IBM QRadar.
- Deep understanding of network security, endpoint protection, incident response lifecycles, and threat intelligence.
- Familiarity with industry frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and ISO 27001 is a strong advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA CySA+, Security+, GIAC, or Certified SOC Analyst are highly preferred.
