About the Role
TAG Energy Nigeria Limited, a leading integrated service company in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry, is seeking a Senior Rotating Equipment Specialist/Mentor (Expatriate) to drive operational excellence. In this vital role, you will spearhead complex maintenance, overhaul, and commissioning activities while playing a pivotal part in capability development and knowledge transfer for our local technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support critical maintenance activities, equipment overhauls, shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and start-up operations.
- Drive equipment reliability improvement using Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
- Mentor, coach, and develop technicians through structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) and competency programs.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of rotating machinery, including centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating compressors, steam and gas turbines, and pumps.
- Analyze vibration, lubrication, and condition monitoring data to enhance equipment availability.
- Interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and OEM manuals to support precise maintenance execution.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, Permit-to-Work (PTW), and Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
- Bachelor Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of rotating equipment within oil & gas, refineries, or petrochemical plants.
- Expert-level knowledge of precision maintenance, alignment, vibration analysis, and mechanical seals.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and delivering structured OJT programs.
- Solid command of reliability methodologies (RCFA, FMEA, RCM) and predictive maintenance strategies.
