About the Role
Savannah Energy is a high-growth, ambitious African-focused energy company dedicated to making a positive socio-economic impact across its operational regions. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Control Engineer to join our team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the effective implementation of project controls processes by applying standardized systems, frameworks, and methodologies to plan, monitor, control, and report on project scope, schedule, cost, and risk across the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate all project control functions across the organization in line with industry best practices and HSE standards.
- Establish and maintain quality control for project control plans, WBS, integrated plans, Level 1-4 schedules, S-curves, and dashboards.
- Monitor actual versus planned progress, identify deviations, analyze critical paths, and participate in developing recovery plans.
- Develop progress measurement and cost reports using EVM, CPI, VOWD, and robust data analytics.
- Liaise with Project Managers to manage change orders, scope variations, and contractor deliverables.
- Utilize SAP effectively for financial management, contracts, procurement, and vendor management activities.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly departmental reports and presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years of cognate experience in EPCIC projects within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and SAP.
- Strong analytical, commercial, financial, and contractual awareness.
