We are currently recruiting a dedicated and skilled Senior Medical Officer (Dentistry) for our healthcare operations in Kaduna. In this vital role, you will provide advanced clinical care, manage dental patients independently across various settings, and guide our junior medical personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent assessment, diagnosis, and management of dental patients, referring complex cases appropriately.
- Provide reliable support for consultant-led clinics, ward rounds, and specialized dental procedures.
- Supervise, mentor, and support junior medical officers and trainees to foster professional growth.
- Participate actively in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records and a valid current MDCN registration and practicing license.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS, BChD) or equivalent registrable qualification from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of mandatory housemanship and NYSC, accompanied by a valid MDCN practicing license.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC clinical experience with proven progression in medical or dental officer grades.
- Strong working knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety protocols, and hospital systems.
- Progress toward a postgraduate dental fellowship (e.g., National Postgraduate Medical College or West African College of Surgeons) is an advantage.
