About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is looking for a dedicated and skilled Senior Medical Officer in Dentistry to join our healthcare network in Nigeria. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive clinical care, independently managing dental patients across various settings while mentoring junior professionals and upholding international healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for dental patients across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Support consultant-led clinics, ward rounds, and complex surgical or dental procedures.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior medical officers and trainees to foster continuous professional development.
- Participate actively in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient-safety programs.
- Maintain precise, timely clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies and MDCN regulations.
- Collaborate seamlessly within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and support HMO processes.
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS or BChD) from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Successful completion of mandatory housemanship/internship and NYSC, or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-NYSC clinical experience with proven progression in dental officer roles.
- Valid and current registration/licence with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated expertise in independent patient management and junior staff supervision.
- Progress toward a postgraduate dental fellowship (e.g., National Postgraduate Medical College or West African College of Surgeons) is a strong advantage.
