About the Role
The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a prestigious federal institution founded in 1970, is seeking a qualified and dynamic academic professional to join our Department of Veterinary Medicine as a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Animal Production. In this role, you will contribute significantly to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, cutting-edge research, and academic administration within a thriving university community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and practical training in Veterinary Animal Production to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses at various academic levels.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish peer-reviewed articles in reputable local and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings, and university committee assignments.
- Mentor junior academic staff and contribute to community engagement initiatives related to veterinary science.
- A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Veterinary Animal Production or a closely related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Must possess a minimum of eight (8) quality peer-reviewed publications in academic journals.
- First-degree qualification must not be below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division accompanied by a PhD.
