About the Role
Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in Science Laboratory Technology within the Faculty of Life Sciences. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of future scientists, advancing cutting-edge research, and contributing to the vibrant academic community of our fast-growing university located in Nasarawa State.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures and practical training to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Science Laboratory Technology and related disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-quality, impactful research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement within the Faculty of Life Sciences.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives on behalf of the university.
- Must possess a Ph.D. degree in Science Laboratory Technology or a closely related relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Must have a robust portfolio of at least ten (10) publications in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous research productivity and the capacity to effectively supervise postgraduate students.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills within an academic environment.
