We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Senior Lecturer in Maternal and Child Health Nursing to join our esteemed Department of Nursing Sciences. In this vital role, you will inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals, advance specialized nursing research, and contribute to the growth of our academic community in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality lectures and practical training in Maternal and Child Health Nursing to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations.
- Conduct cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee meetings.
- Mentor students and provide academic advising to foster professional and personal growth.
- Engage in community outreach programs and collaborative partnerships to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
- Possession of a First Degree in Nursing with a minimum of a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
- Must hold a PhD in Nursing Sciences or a closely related health discipline with a strong focus on Maternal and Child Health.
- Minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- A robust academic portfolio featuring a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic journals.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) with a valid practicing license.
