About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria, established in 2021, is West Africa's landmark institution and Africa's first Indian university. Located on a sprawling campus in Masaka, Nasarawa State, along the Federal Capital Territory-Abuja corridor, MIU is fully approved by the Federal Executive Council and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). We are seeking an accomplished Senior Lecturer in Industrial Chemistry to drive excellence in teaching, research, and academic innovation.
As a Senior Lecturer, you will be instrumental in delivering world-class chemistry education while bridging India's elite technological heritage with Nigeria's dynamic industrial demands. You will mentor students, conduct groundbreaking research, and contribute to MIU's mission of producing globally competitive professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality lectures and laboratory sessions in Industrial Chemistry
- Conduct and publish original research in peer-reviewed scholarly journals
- Mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in research methodologies
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic programme enhancement
- Participate in departmental and university committees
- Maintain active engagement with industry partnerships and professional networks
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or closely related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of teaching experience in recognized higher institutions
- At least 8 scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals
- Demonstrated expertise in Industrial Chemistry applications
