About the Role
Federal University Lafia invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in Fine Arts within the Faculty of Environmental Design. As a growing institution established in 2011, we are committed to academic excellence, innovative research, and providing quality education to our students in Nasarawa State and beyond.
Key Responsibilities- Teach, assess, and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in Fine Arts and related disciplines within the Faculty of Environmental Design.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and university committee assignments.
- Contribute to community engagement and institutional advancement initiatives.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Fine Arts or a relevant field from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- Evidence of a minimum of ten (10) academic publications in reputable journals.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise postgraduate students and sustain a continuous research profile.
The conditions of service are competitive and as obtainable in Nigerian Federal Universities, adhering strictly to the salary structures and allowances approved by the Federal University of Lafia Governing Council.
