Federal University Lafia invites applications from qualified academics for the position of Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry within the Faculty of Life Sciences. Established in 2011, our institution is committed to academic excellence, innovative research, and expanding access to quality higher education in Nigeria. We are looking for a dedicated scholar passionate about advancing biochemical sciences and mentoring the next generation of researchers.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Biochemistry.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects and postgraduate students at the Master and Ph.D. levels.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in specialized areas of Biochemistry and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development and review within the Department of Biochemistry and the broader Faculty of Life Sciences.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee assignments as well as community service initiatives.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry or a closely related relevant field from a recognized university.
- A minimum of six (6) years of post-qualification teaching and research experience in a tertiary institution.
- A strong publication record comprising at least ten (10) articles in reputable peer-reviewed academic journals.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous research output and the capability to successfully supervise postgraduate students.
