About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria, the first Indian university established in Africa, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our esteemed faculty as a Senior Lecturer in Anatomy. Located on our sprawling campus in Masaka, Nasarawa State, along the Abuja corridor, MIU is fully approved by the Federal Executive Council and accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Lecturer in Anatomy, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our academic and research excellence. Your core duties will include:
- Delivering engaging, comprehensive lectures and practical sessions in Anatomy to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Developing and updating curriculum materials in line with NUC guidelines and international best practices.
- Conducting high-impact academic research and publishing in reputable peer-reviewed scholarly journals.
- Mentoring and supervising students on academic projects, research theses, and career development.
- Participating in departmental administration, curriculum reviews, and university committee meetings.
- Fostering a collaborative and intellectually stimulating learning environment on campus.
To be considered for this academic position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Anatomy or a closely relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- Must have a strong academic portfolio comprising a minimum of 8 scholarly journal publications in recognized outlets.
- Demonstrated teaching experience of at least 6 years in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Evidence of active academic research, peer mentoring, and professional association memberships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
