We are currently looking for a talented Senior Java Software Engineer to join our innovative team in Lekki, Lagos. In this pivotal role, you will drive the design, development, and maintenance of robust Java-based applications, ensuring our clients achieve game-changing outcomes through enhanced productivity and secure digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable Java-based applications and microservices.
- Translate complex business requirements into high-quality technical designs and robust software solutions.
- Write clean, efficient code and perform comprehensive code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues across distributed systems.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional product, design, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth and sharing best practices.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and support continuous improvement in software development and deployment processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive professional experience in strong Java programming and building robust applications.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Proven expertise in designing Microservices architecture and building distributed systems.
- Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, and third-party services.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization tools like Docker, and modern deployment practices.
- Previous experience in a senior or lead engineering role with a strong track record of mentoring developers.
- Prior experience in the banking or fintech sector is a significant advantage.
- Availability to work on-site in Lekki, Lagos, with exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
