About the Role
The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), a premier non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting trade and industry in Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Information Technology Officer. In this critical role, you will maintain our technology ecosystem, ensure high system availability, strengthen cybersecurity frameworks, and enable seamless digital engagement for Nigeria's vibrant business community.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, configure, and maintain robust IT infrastructure including servers, local area networks, and enterprise systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Support and enhance LCCI's digital footprint, maintaining official websites, portals, and digital communication channels.
- Implement stringent system security measures, data protection protocols, and compliance standards to safeguard sensitive organizational information.
- Provide expert technical support for virtual, in-person, and hybrid corporate events, managing advanced audio-visual (AV) and broadcasting systems.
- Monitor network and system performance proactively, diagnosing bottlenecks and deploying scalable technological improvements.
- Oversee external relationships with IT vendors, software developers, and third-party service providers to guarantee service level agreements.
- Deliver exceptional tier-2 and tier-3 technical support to internal users, ensuring rapid resolution of complex hardware and software issues.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, audit documentation, and strategic IT advisory briefs for senior management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on professional experience in IT operations, systems administration, or network management.
- Demonstrated expertise in systems, server, and network administration alongside fundamental software and web development capabilities.
- Strong background in cybersecurity implementation, system monitoring tools, and managing audit compliance queries.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible terms for non-technical stakeholders.
