We are hiring a skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer specializing in MEP and building services to join our client's dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will lead the development of innovative electrical designs for high-profile commercial, residential, and industrial infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop comprehensive concept, FEED, and detailed electrical designs for diverse building and infrastructure projects.
- Perform critical electrical load analysis, voltage-drop calculations, and short-circuit computations.
- Design robust low-voltage distribution systems, transformers, generators, cables, and protective equipment.
- Produce accurate single-line diagrams, lighting layouts, small-power systems, and fire alarm schematics using AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
- Execute advanced lighting modeling and calculations utilizing DIALux or Relux.
- Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, technical queries, and as-built documentation for full compliance.
- Supervise site installations, conduct rigorous testing and commissioning, and participate in project handover activities.
- Coordinate seamlessly with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural engineering disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a recognized equivalent.
- Extensive professional experience in electrical building-services design, MEP systems, and construction supervision.
- Demonstrated expertise in low-voltage distribution, FEED, and detailed engineering design.
- Proficiency in industry-standard tools including AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and DIALux or Relux.
- Solid understanding of QA/QC protocols, technical document control, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
- Professional engineering registration or active membership is a distinct advantage.
