In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping academic excellence by delivering inspiring Mathematics lessons, fostering critical thinking, and ensuring students are thoroughly equipped for success in their internal and external examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver dynamic Mathematics lessons aligned with the approved school curriculum.
- Prepare senior secondary students comprehensively for external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and UTME.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and continuous assessments.
- Monitor, evaluate, and track student academic performance, providing targeted support where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavioral progress.
- Foster a disciplined, inclusive, and positive learning environment conducive to student growth.
- Encourage the practical application of mathematical concepts and critical problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and school management to elevate overall academic standards.
- Participate actively in school staff meetings, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of verifiable teaching experience, specifically handling senior secondary classes.
- Exceptional command of Mathematics with the proven ability to break down complex concepts for diverse learners.
- Strong classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
