About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a leading provider of comprehensive technical staffing, procurement, and support services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented Senior Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing complex purchasing activities, driving cost optimization, and ensuring strict adherence to quality and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities- Review purchase requisitions, verify technical specifications and budget approvals, and prepare comprehensive tender packages and requests for quotation.
- Identify, prequalify, and onboard reliable suppliers while evaluating commercial bids, negotiating favorable pricing and terms, and recommending contract awards.
- Manage the entire purchase order lifecycle from issuance through delivery, goods receipt, and final payment processing.
- Ensure full compliance with internal procurement policies, contractual terms, audit requirements, and Nigerian Local Content regulations.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and update enterprise procurement systems such as SAP/UNISUP, Ariba, AGORA, and NIPEX.
- Monitor supplier performance, resolve delivery discrepancies proactively, and manage purchase order amendments and claims.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, contract teams, and external stakeholders to streamline procurement operations.
- Promote strategic cost savings, ethical purchasing practices, and total adherence to company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, Social Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, or contract administration, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Thorough understanding of commercial, legal, contractual, and insurance matters relating to procurement.
- Proven hands-on experience with major procurement platforms and ERP systems such as SAP/UNISUP, Ariba, AGORA, or NIPEX.
- Active membership in a recognized professional supply chain or procurement body is a distinct advantage.
