About the Role

We are currently looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Nigeria and help scale our robust infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, deploy, and maintain complex software systems and high-availability backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and stakeholders to deliver innovative features.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and security protocols.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and potential security vulnerabilities.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, helping them achieve their full technical potential.
- Participate in technical hiring to help attract and retain top-tier engineering talent in the region.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
- Expertise in backend programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Go, with a strong preference for TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, design patterns, and data structures.
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
