About the Role
Smart Class Hotel & Suite, in partnership with Wertvoll Consulting Services, is seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to join our team in Aji-Enugu Ezike, Enugu State. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, visitors, and staff members across our hospitality property.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor premises, assets, and entrances to ensure comprehensive property security.
- Conduct regular patrols of the hotel grounds, corridors, and parking areas to deter suspicious activities.
- Manage visitor access control, verify guest credentials, and monitor surveillance equipment.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, applying appropriate de-escalation or emergency response protocols.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of security incidents, visitors, and shift activities.
- Proven professional experience working as a Security Officer or in a similar safety role.
- Possession of relevant security certifications, training, or educational qualifications.
- Strong situational awareness, physical fitness, and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure during emergency situations.
- Familiarity with hospitality security standards and protocols is an added advantage.
