About the Role

We are currently seeking a disciplined and vigilant Security Guard to join our team at the Okpella Plant in Edo State, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our operations, personnel, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Patrol assigned plant locations regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, hazards, or unsafe conditions.
- Monitor facility entrances and exits, verify staff and visitor credentials, and meticulously maintain visitor logs.
- Respond promptly to security alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing accurate reports to supervisors.
- Enforce company safety policies and protocols across the industrial premises.
- Write clear, concise, and accurate daily activity reports regarding irregularities or security breaches.
- Manage access control, crowd control, and support emergency evacuation procedures when required.
- Maintain active surveillance of the premises using CCTV and other electronic monitoring devices.
- Assist employees, visitors, and contractors by providing professional directions and guidance.
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSSC).
- Must be retired from any of the Nigerian Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) or the Nigeria Police Force.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a security guard, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale facility setting.
- Strong physical fitness with the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of industrial safety and security procedures.
- Effective communication, observational, and incident-reporting skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
