Global Rainbowbird Partners is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary School English / Literature Teacher (IGCSE) to join our esteemed academic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping young minds, fostering advanced literacy skills, and preparing students for success under international curricula.
Key Responsibilities- Thoroughly review all prescribed books and supplementary resources to design engaging, comprehensive lesson plans and curricula.
- Collaborate closely with the English department to develop innovative teaching strategies and targeted academic interventions.
- Prepare students effectively for both formal and informal assessments, ensuring alignment with Cambridge IGCSE standards.
- Grade tests, quizzes, assignments, and exams accurately while maintaining open communication with parents, students, and counsellors regarding student progress.
- Coordinate enriching extracurricular activities, including guest speakers, literary events, and educational field trips.
- Bachelor's Degree in English Language, Literature, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in classroom management and adherence to school policies.
- Strong command of advanced English topics and international curricula such as Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level.
- Proficiency in educational technology and modern computer applications.
- Familiarity with contemporary 21st-century teaching methods and innovative pedagogical techniques.
- TRCN Certification is an added advantage.
