About the Role
Pinefield Schools is a prestigious, co-educational Christian school located on a serene 1.8-hectare site in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. We are currently seeking a caring, responsible, and dependable School Bus Nanny to join our dedicated school transport team.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise pupils throughout the journey to and from school, ensuring their safety and overall wellbeing at all times.
- Assist pupils safely when boarding and alighting from the school bus and ensure all children remain properly seated.
- Confirm that all children assigned to the route are accounted for and that no pupil is left unattended on the bus.
- Assist younger children with bags, seat belts, and other reasonable needs while maintaining a calm and orderly environment.
- Work closely with the school bus driver and communicate promptly regarding any delays, incidents, or emergencies.
- Enforce school transport safety rules and ensure appropriate handover at designated drop-off points.
- Comply fully with all child safeguarding, health, and safety policies of Pinefield Schools.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification; higher educational qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Proven previous experience working with children in a school, daycare, nursery, or similar caregiving role.
- Experience as a school bus attendant, nanny, or teaching assistant is highly desirable.
- Must possess high levels of patience, compassion, alertness, and attention to detail.
- Punctual, reliable, physically fit, and trustworthy with a strong commitment to child safety.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
