About the Role
Tonia Pharmacy Limited is seeking a dynamic and trustworthy Cashier / Sales Assistant to join our growing retail pharmacy and superstore team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be the friendly face at our checkout counter, ensuring all financial transactions are handled accurately while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Process cash, POS, and transfer payments accurately while issuing correct receipts and invoices.
- Balance cash registers at the beginning and end of each shift, preventing discrepancies.
- Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries, and resolve complaints professionally.
- Support sales growth by cross-selling and promoting ongoing store offers.
- Maintain proper financial records, daily sales reports, and end-of-day summaries.
- Adhere to company financial controls, safety standards, and fraud prevention policies.
- Assist with store cleanliness, shelf monitoring, and inventory counts when needed.
- Minimum of an HND or BSc in a relevant discipline.
- Proven experience as a cashier or retail sales assistant, preferably in a pharmacy environment.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong numerical accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
