About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Risk Manager to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be pivotal in safeguarding our business operations, real estate acquisitions, and investments by identifying potential risks and implementing robust mitigation strategies across all levels of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for property acquisitions, developments, investments, contracts, and major business decisions.
  • Maintain and regularly update the company risk register and risk appetite framework while monitoring key risk indicators.
  • Evaluate real estate project risks including construction delays, cost overruns, contractor performance, planning approvals, and title issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Projects, Procurement, and other departments to implement appropriate internal controls.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant Nigerian laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and real estate industry standards.
  • Investigate significant incidents, control failures, and emerging risks, providing timely reports and dashboards to senior management.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of active working experience in financial risk management within a structured corporate environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN, FRM, CFA, PRM, or CRM are strictly required.
  • Proficiency in relevant financial modeling, risk analysis computer tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
