About the Role
Comerio Partners, a premier financial services firm based in Lagos, Nigeria, is looking for a dynamic and analytical Research Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping our investment management, advisory, and capital markets strategies by delivering rigorous financial, economic, and industry research. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to translate complex market data into actionable insights, robust financial models, and evidence-based recommendations that empower our stakeholders across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of financial markets, macroeconomic trends, and investment opportunities to guide strategic decision-making.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models, forecasts, and valuation analyses to support investment appraisals and transaction structuring.
- Produce high-quality research reports, investment memoranda, and market intelligence briefs for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory changes, competitive dynamics, and emerging economic trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Support thorough investment due diligence by validating financial, operational, and commercial data for prospective investments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant investment research experience within the capital markets space.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling, company valuation, and quantitative data interpretation.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with platforms like Bloomberg or Capital IQ is a strong advantage.
- Progress toward or completion of relevant professional qualifications will be considered an asset.
