About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, lighting up the lives of millions across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a dedicated Regional Solar Installation & Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in Yola, Adamawa. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary technical expert for solar inverter systems, driving service excellence, quality assurance, and technical support across the Savannah region.
Key Responsibilities- Execute high-quality installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of solar inverter systems within the assigned region.
- Monitor system performance remotely, identifying potential issues and conducting proactive maintenance to prevent failures.
- Conduct routine installation audits for internal teams and third-party installers to ensure strict adherence to safety and technical standards.
- Onboard, train, and manage third-party installers to expand regional service coverage and technical capability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, inventory, and spare parts utilization using company systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in after-sales service and technical support within the solar, electronics, or power sector.
- Extensive practical knowledge of solar PV systems, power electronics, and electrical wiring standards.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools, software, and remote system monitoring platforms.
