About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Recovery and Verification Officer to join our growing team and play a critical role in mitigating financial risk while driving successful loan recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities- Review and verify loan applications, supporting documents, and customer information thoroughly.
- Conduct comprehensive background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications.
- Validate customer identity, income, guarantor information, and collateral details against internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Identify inconsistencies, fraud indicators, or incomplete documentation and escalate appropriately.
- Prepare detailed verification reports recommending approval, decline, or further investigation.
- Monitor loan repayment schedules and proactively identify overdue accounts.
- Contact customers via phone, email, SMS, and field visits to recover outstanding payments.
- Negotiate realistic repayment plans and settlements within approved company limits.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and recovery actions.
- Collaborate with legal teams on escalated default cases, including repossessions and litigation.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in loan verification, credit risk assessment, or debt recovery within the financial sector.
- Strong analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail and potential fraud indicators.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and financial management software.
