About the Role
Gadol Finance Company Limited, a leading financial service provider regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria specializing in fund management, loans, and advances, is seeking a proactive and results-driven Recovery Officer. In this role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our financial assets by implementing effective debt recovery strategies, managing delinquent accounts, and maintaining healthy credit portfolios across our operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the recovery of delinquent loans and non-performing assets in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Assess borrowers' financial situations and repayment capacities to structure viable restructuring or recovery plans.
- Negotiate payment terms and settlements with defaulting clients professionally and persuasively.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all recovery efforts, communications, and legal steps taken.
- Liaise with legal practitioners and external collection agencies to facilitate the recovery of long-outstanding debts.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify early warning signals of potential loan defaults.
- Bachelor degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of proven professional experience in loan recovery, credit management, collections, remedial management, or asset recovery within the financial sector.
- In-depth knowledge of loan documentation, credit processes, and regulatory debt recovery procedures in Nigeria.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
