About the Role
Khadasha Innovations Africa is a strategic innovation and capacity-building firm dedicated to empowering organisations across Africa to operate more effectively, think more creatively, and scale sustainably. We are currently seeking an experienced and meticulous Real Estate Accountant to manage our financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our growing property development portfolio in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Manage general ledger entries, journal postings, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor daily cash flows, track escrow accounts, and manage property transaction inflows and outflows.
- Perform budget-versus-actual variance analysis across real estate development and sales projects.
- Process client receipts, track buyer payment schedules, and issue property invoices while managing vendor payables and contractor invoicing.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax obligations including VAT, WHT, CIT, and PAYE, while filing periodic returns and liaising with tax authorities.
- Track property portfolio assets, land acquisition funds, and project expenditure in collaboration with sales and project teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACA or ACCA professional qualification (or currently in progress) is strongly preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years specifically in real estate, property development, or construction sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized accounting software such as QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or real estate ERPs.
- Strong working knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial compliance standards, and corporate governance.
- High attention to detail, robust analytical capabilities, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
