Bells University of Technology, the first private university of technology established in Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and experienced academic professional to fill the position of Reader in Mechatronics Engineering. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Mechatronics Engineering and related disciplines.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed local and international journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement of academic programs.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Contribute to departmental, college, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Engage in community service and foster industry partnerships to bridge academic theory and practical application.
- Possession of a Ph.D. in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated extensive academic experience at the Senior Lecturer level or equivalent, with a strong track record of publications.
- Proven expertise in robotics, automation, control systems, and smart technologies.
- Evidence of effective teaching, student mentorship, and academic leadership.
- Membership in relevant professional engineering bodies such as COREN and NSE is mandatory.
