About the Role
BeaconHealth Diagnostics is revolutionizing diagnostic care in Nigeria by providing accessible, high-quality healthcare through an innovative network of clinics. We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Radiographer to join our dynamic team in Umuahia. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images that referring clinicians rely on for accurate diagnoses. Because diagnostic imaging is often a new experience for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring their comfort, safety, and reassurance throughout the procedure, working seamlessly within our digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome patients, review clinical notes, explain procedures in plain language, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout examinations.
- Determine appropriate imaging methods, operate radiographic equipment, and position patients and equipment for optimal image clarity.
- Apply strict radiation safety measures and protection devices in compliance with regulatory standards for patients, colleagues, and yourself.
- Maintain detailed and confidential patient records using BeaconOS, our proprietary clinical operations platform.
- Perform scheduled equipment maintenance, monitor supplies, and promptly report faults to ensure smooth daily clinic operations.
- Conduct sonographic examinations and decontaminate equipment where applicable and required by the clinic.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Radiography or Medical Imaging.
- Current valid registration with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
- Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience working in a hospital or diagnostic center.
- Strong working knowledge of radiation protection standards and safe operating practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to calm anxious patients.
- Computer literacy and comfort with digital record systems.
