About the Role
LighTech Automation Electrical Services Limited is seeking an innovative and results-driven R&D Lead to spearhead our Home Care and Personal Care product development portfolio. In this pivotal role, you will lead the end-to-end formulation, testing, and optimization of consumer products specifically tailored to the Nigerian market, ensuring superior quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness. You will play a crucial role in driving our product innovation strategy while mentoring junior research staff and bridging the gap between laboratory formulation and full-scale commercial manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the conceptualization, development, and successful market launch of innovative home and personal care products tailored to Nigerian consumer preferences.
- Formulate, test, and continuously optimize product formulations focusing on performance, cost efficiency, and the utilization of local raw materials.
- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory standards set by NAFDAC, SON, and other relevant governing bodies.
- Oversee the seamless scale-up of new formulations from laboratory bench-scale to full commercial production.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain departments to align product development with market demands and operational capabilities.
- Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior R&D team members to foster professional growth and operational excellence.
- Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on R&D experience within the home care and personal care manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and launching consumer products from concept to market.
- Comprehensive knowledge of chemical formulations, cosmetic science, and sourcing local raw materials within Nigeria.
- In-depth familiarity with NAFDAC and SON regulatory frameworks, compliance processes, and approval procedures.
