About the Role
Eterna Plc, a leading energy company in West Africa and the sole licensee for Castrol products, is looking for a meticulous Quality Assurance & Control Officer to join our dynamic team in Sagamu. In this vital role, you will ensure that all manufactured and distributed energy solutions consistently meet and exceed rigorous customer expectations, regulatory standards, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate laboratory analysis on various petroleum products including PMS, AGO, and lubricants while thoroughly documenting all results.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date inventory of all chemical reagents used for daily laboratory testing.
- Conduct on-site sampling of petroleum products directly on board ships for rigorous laboratory evaluation.
- Supervise the secure sealing of loaded petroleum product tankers and packaged lubricant products prior to dispatch.
- Participate actively in the proper storage, identification, and systematic retrieval of laboratory reference samples.
- Ensure strict adherence to established quality management systems, operational processes, procedures, and company policies, while proposing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in petroleum or lubricant products testing using recognized standard methods such as ASTM and NIS/SON is a strong advantage.
