About the Role

Benin-Asaba Expressway Concession Company Limited is seeking a strategic and experienced Public Relations & Communications Manager to lead our corporate communications and public relations initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will help shape public perception and manage vital relationships for our landmark 125 km federal highway infrastructure project under the HDMI programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive corporate communications and public relations strategies to enhance company visibility and brand reputation.
  • Manage proactive relationships with media outlets, government agencies, regulatory bodies, and host communities.
  • Coordinate all external communications, including press releases, media engagements, corporate announcements, and official statements.
  • Oversee the company digital footprint, including the official website and social media channels.
  • Lead strategic communications during incidents, crises, and other sensitive situations affecting company operations.
  • Organize high-profile press conferences, stakeholder forums, and project commissioning ceremonies.
  • Monitor public sentiment and media coverage, delivering actionable reports and strategic recommendations to executive management.
  • Collaborate closely with the Community Liaison Officer to produce effective community-facing communication materials.
  • Draft high-quality corporate materials such as executive presentations, newsletters, speeches, and annual reports.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certifications will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media management, preferably within infrastructure, construction, or government relations sectors.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong network of media and regulatory contacts in Nigeria.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis communication, stakeholder engagement, and reputation management.
  • Strong digital literacy with experience managing corporate websites and professional social media platforms.
