About the Role

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organization providing assistance and protection to refugees and internally displaced persons worldwide. We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Project Technical Assistant (Admin & Comms) to support our PLRCAP project based in Abuja, Nigeria. This is a 6-month national contract offering a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful humanitarian and development initiatives while working with a renowned global organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the PLRCAP team while ensuring full compliance with NRC policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate logistics, procurement, travel arrangements, meetings, and documentation for various programme activities.
  • Support the management of the NGO Support Hub, maintaining project plans, action trackers, and SharePoint records.
  • Assist in content creation, editing, and publishing engaging materials across digital and social media platforms.
  • Promote learning resources, project achievements, and success stories to boost stakeholder engagement and outreach.
  • Collaborate closely with internal colleagues and external partners to foster knowledge sharing and seamless programme delivery.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Management, Social Sciences, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in administration, operations, communications, or project support within an NGO or humanitarian organization.
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms and developing digital content using tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with content management systems.
  • Exclusive to Nigerian citizens holding a valid Nigerian passport, with up to 15% domestic travel required.
