About the Role
Iconic Open University, a leading private Open and Distance Learning (ODL) institution licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC), invites suitably qualified academics to apply for the position of Project Co-Supervisor (Arabic). In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, integrity, and excellence across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic guidance and co-supervision for undergraduate and postgraduate research projects in Arabic studies.
- Ensure adherence to institutional research guidelines, academic quality, and ethical standards in distance learning.
- Evaluate student research progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance scholarly output.
- Collaborate with internal academic teams to uphold rigorous assessment criteria.
- Must not be below the rank of Senior Lecturer, with Readers and Professors preferred for postgraduate supervision.
- Possess a minimum of a Ph.D. in Arabic or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated track record of successful postgraduate supervision and research publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals within the last three years.
- Previous experience working in an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) environment is a strong advantage.
- Must have no conflict of interest, including recent employment with Iconic Open University or close personal relationships with current students and staff.
