About the Role
Street Souk is Africa's premier streetwear convention and fashion festival based in Lagos, Nigeria. Founded in 2018, we serve as a massive community hub and cultural melting pot celebrating African street fashion, music, skateboarding, and youth expression. We are currently seeking a dynamic Project Assistant to support our core team in planning and executing high-energy projects and landmark cultural events. In this role, you will help keep teams organized, timelines strictly on track, and deliverables moving seamlessly from initial planning through flawless on-ground execution in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Support Project Managers with comprehensive project planning, scheduling, and overall event execution.
- Coordinate efficiently with internal creative teams, external vendors, and key brand partners.
- Track daily project timelines, assigned tasks, and critical deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Assist with preparing project documentation, status reports, and thorough follow-up communications.
- Support on-the-ground event planning, vendor logistics, and operational execution during our flagship convention.
- Help identify operational bottlenecks and resolve day-to-day issues to keep projects moving forward in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in project management, event coordination, or a related fast-paced role.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills tailored for a collaborative team setting.
- Highly detail-oriented mindset with excellent follow-through on all assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Proactive, highly resourceful, and solution-oriented approach to tackling unexpected operational challenges.
- Comfortable thriving in a high-pressure, fast-paced creative environment while managing multiple competing priorities.
