Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars in Software Engineering.
  • Develop innovative curricula and course materials adaptable across multiple learning platforms.
  • Collaborate with fellow academics to enhance teaching methodologies and expand the department's knowledge base.
  • Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.
  • Conduct high-impact research, publish papers, proposals, journal articles, and books.
  • Attend and actively participate in academic meetings, conferences, and events locally and internationally.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and institutional training initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and academic support to students and colleagues.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in the field through continuous research and publication.

Qualifications
  • Must hold the rank of Reader with a Ph.D. in Software Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years' verifiable experience in university-level teaching, research, and administration.
  • Demonstrated record of substantial publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
  • Proven experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Active affiliation with a recognized professional body.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
