About the Role

As a Professor of Physiology, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping our academic programs, driving cutting-edge research, and fostering an environment of academic rigor and integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visionary academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Physiology.
- Teach, inspire, and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students using modern pedagogical approaches.
- Spearhead impactful academic and clinical research initiatives, securing grants and publishing in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Design, review, and continuously improve curriculum content to meet National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and global best practices.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, contributing to institutional growth and governance.
- Engage in community service and professional outreach that elevates the institutional profile of MIU.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Physiology or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Evidence of at least 15 scholarly publications in reputable local and international peer-reviewed journals.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive teaching, research, and relevant academic experience within a recognized university system.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior academic staff and graduate students.
- Strong track record of curriculum development and administrative leadership.
