About the Role
Owolabi University, a newly established private institution licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and located in Osun State, invites applications from dynamic and accomplished academics for the position of Professor in Nutrition and Dietetics. As part of our Faculty of Allied and Health Science, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our academic programs, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, and advancing cutting-edge research in nutritional sciences.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Drive innovative research initiatives and actively secure research grants and fellowships.
- Publish high-impact scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop and review curriculum in line with NUC standards and global best practices.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees to support institutional growth.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or a closely related field from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification, full-time teaching, research, and administrative experience in a tertiary institution.
- Demonstrated academic leadership with a minimum of 25 scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven track record of successfully supervising postgraduate students at Master's and Ph.D. levels.
