Owolabi University is a newly established private university located in Oke-Ila Orangun, Osun State, currently operating from its take-off site in Osogbo, Nigeria. Licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on June 29, 2026, our institution is dedicated to expanding access to quality higher education and preparing graduates for a dynamic global landscape. We are currently seeking a visionary and accomplished Professor of Medical Laboratory Science to join our esteemed Faculty of Allied and Health Science.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exemplary academic leadership in teaching, research, and curriculum development within the Department of Medical Laboratory Science.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, fostering a culture of rigorous academic inquiry and mentorship.
- Drive innovative research initiatives and demonstrate a proven ability to successfully attract competitive research grants and fellowships.
- Engage in administrative duties and institutional development to support the growth of the Faculty of Allied and Health Science and the wider university community.
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders, professional bodies, and academic peers to enhance the practical relevance and global standing of the university programs.
- Possession of a Ph.D. degree from a reputable university with a specialization in Medical Laboratory Science or a directly related discipline.
- A minimum of 12 years of post-qualification full-time relevant teaching, research, and administrative experience in a tertiary institution.
- Evidence of strong academic leadership with a minimum of 25 scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students at Master's and Ph.D. levels.
- Possession of relevant professional qualifications and active membership in recognized professional bodies.
