Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
- Develop, review, and update curriculum to meet national and global engineering standards, incorporating modern digital skills.
- Teach, mentor, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in mechanical engineering.
- Drive high-impact research initiatives, securing grants and publishing findings in reputable local and international journals.
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders to foster practical learning, internships, and partnerships.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees to advance institutional goals.
- Must possess a good Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related specialization.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- A verifiable track record of academic leadership, administrative competence, and mentorship.
- Extensive portfolio of relevant publications in reputable local and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency in modern pedagogical and engineering software tools.
- Demonstrated ability to attract research funding and establish academic collaborations.
