Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Professor of Anatomy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and research direction of the department. Your key duties will include:
- Providing strong academic and administrative leadership within the Department of Anatomy.
- Teaching, assessing, and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Conducting high-impact, peer-reviewed research and securing research grants.
- Developing and updating curriculum content in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards.
- Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and theses.
- Participating in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and community service initiatives.
To be considered for this professorial vacancy, applicants must meet the following stringent criteria:
- Must currently hold the rank of Professor in Anatomy or a closely related discipline.
- Possess a Ph.D. in Anatomy or a relevant field.
- Hold a recognized primary medical degree (MBBS or MBChB).
- Possess relevant professional qualifications and active registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria).
- Demonstrate at least ten (10) years of cognate teaching, research, and administrative experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Show a robust portfolio of academic publications in reputable journals.
