Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Professor of Accounting, you will provide visionary leadership in teaching, research, and community service while shaping the future of our Department of Accounting.
- Provide dynamic academic and administrative leadership for the accounting department.
- Teach, mentor, and inspire undergraduate and postgraduate students in advanced accounting principles.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and theses at various academic levels.
- Publish high-impact research papers in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic quality assurance, and departmental accreditation processes.
- Foster strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, professional bodies, and alumni.
Candidates must meet the rigorous academic and professional standards required for a professorial chair in a Nigerian university.
- Must possess a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree with a specialization in Accounting or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of post-qualification, full-time relevant teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- A robust portfolio of academic publications in esteemed local and international journals.
- Demonstrated track record of effective academic leadership, administration, and mentorship of junior faculty and students.
- Active membership in relevant professional accounting bodies such as ICAN, ANAN, or international equivalents is an added advantage.
