The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the leading anti-corruption agency in Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join its professional workforce. In this vital role, you will apply your specialized scientific expertise to support the Commission's investigative and administrative operations, ensuring high standards of healthcare and medical analysis within the agency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a full range of professional medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses to support staff health and investigative requirements.
- Ensure accurate collection, processing, and management of biological specimens while adhering to strict quality control standards.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Document and report test results accurately and confidentially in accordance with institutional guidelines.
- Collaborate with medical and security personnel to provide comprehensive healthcare services within the agency.
- Must be a Nigerian citizen of good character and proven integrity.
- Possess a degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and possess a discharge or exemption certificate.
- Active membership in a relevant professional association is a strong added advantage.
- Possess basic computer literacy and proficiency in using laboratory information systems.
- Must be medically fit with evidence of fitness from a government-approved hospital.
- Must have no criminal record and no tattoos on any part of the body.
- Possession of a valid National Driver's Licence is an added advantage.
