About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited, a leading household name in the Nigerian healthcare industry known for trusted brands like Vitaclox and Emzor products, is looking for a skilled Production Pharmacist. Based at our ultra-modern manufacturing facility in Ikeja, Lagos, you will play a vital role in supervising daily pharmaceutical production operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily manufacturing operations including dispensing, granulation, compression, and liquid preparation in compliance with Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
- Ensure strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), hygiene standards, and contamination-control protocols.
- Review production documents and batch records meticulously, ensuring full alignment with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Supervise, train, and mentor line leaders, machine operators, and other production personnel to foster efficiency and teamwork.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to resolve deviations, manage CAPAs, and support audits.
- Monitor equipment performance, material usage, and yields while minimizing process losses and coordinating preventive maintenance.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution.
- Current registration and valid practicing license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
- 2 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or production operations.
- Thorough understanding of NAFDAC requirements, cGMP regulations, and pharmaceutical quality management systems.
